Our client seeks a motivated senior software developer with strong architecture and development skills to help architect, code, and support various applications written using Microsoft technologies. The successful applicant will work amongst a small team working closely with end users to gain an understanding of requirements and develop solutions though the full software development cycle.
Develop and customize applications to support the hedge fund of funds business Contribute to the evolving Framework for all new applications Data analysis and reconciliation Provide technical support to end users Required Skills / Qualifications: MS Visual Studio 2010 using C# MS SQL Server 2008 (T-SQL) Strong Object Oriented Programming Skills Experience developing multi-tier, scalable applications within the Financial Services Industry with significant experience in Capital Markets and/or Asset Management. ASP.Net MVC –OR- WPF MVVM JavaScript / jQuery /AJAX College degree in computer science, math or finance Aptitude for numbers and an ability to understand abstract concepts and recognize patterns Creative thinker and problem solver Ability to communicate ideas clearly and professionally Self-starter who can prioritize tasks under pressure
Preferred Skills: Experience using Inversion of Control and dependency injection frameworks Experience using Unit Testing frameworks Familiarity with Prime Broker or Administrator Data Feeds Familiarity with Client or other Market Data Feeds Experience with Hedge Funds or Fund of Hedge Funds Windows Communication Foundation MS SQL Server Reporting Services
