SCADA/PLC/HMI Programmer
Overview:
Itsa Energy is currently seeking a highly competent, SCADA/PLC/HMI Programmer Analyst. Our Programmer Analyst will be responsible for Software Configuration and Programming to plan, design, install, configure, program, maintain and modify the Control & Automation (C & A) systems and its components as well as safety, security, and video equipment.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day support, maintenance, and development of C & A systems
Interface with various customer and support elements including automation, measurement, engineering, production, operations and other IT support staff
Perform routine system additions and modifications as well as troubleshoot communication issues
Could also serve a project management role to manage client expectations and develop standards and process requirements for existing systems, new installations and other additions
Liaising with clients, suppliers, contractors and relevant authorities
Troubleshooting and problem-solving
Other duties, as assigned, within ability and responsibility level of the job
Qualifications:
A four-year engineering, computer science, or related science or technology degree is preferred
Demonstrated ability and at least five years of experience in I & E, PLC programming, RF Communications Networks, and SCADA technologies or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with real-time process control systems in an Oil and Gas environment
Experience configuring networks and network appliances is a plus
Knowledge of computer control systems including ability to apply digital logic
Experience and skill in using P&ID’s, Cause and Effects and Panel Drawing packages
Experience in using Microsoft Office
Reading and creating flow charts
Creation of working programs based on flow charts, process control narratives and/or verbal
descriptions
Ability to plan, setup, and maintain databases is a plus
Knowledge of current cyber security practices is desirable
Programming in languages such as Visual Basic, C and C#
Experience with ClearSCADA, CygNet SCADA, SCADAPack PLC’s, Emerson ROC PLC’s or similar
technologies
Ability to drive to other field locations - current driver's license
Working Conditions:
Office, production, and manufacturing shop environment. Daily and/or overnight travel in the field is required
Safety equipment required; hard hats, boots, safety vests, and eye protective gear
May be required to work overtime as needed
