Position Summary: The C# Developer – Intermediate will work in support of the ARNG on the RCMS project. The Reserve Component Manpower System (RCMS) provides a comprehensive suite of software products that meet all aspects of this need, from data warehousing, to analysis, to end-user software. These products cover many functional and operational areas and support large numbers of concurrent users. Business casual work environment with exposure to cutting-edge technologies.
Scope: Works as a member of a highly technical team. No budgetary responsibilities.
Essential Functions of the Position:
Work in concert with a team of software developers.
Participate in full software development lifecycle: analyzing requirements, developing designs, implementing and testing software/web applications using C#.
Proficient in developing C# back ends, with a good knowledge of C# ecosystems. Knack for writing clean, readable C# code. Skilled in writing reusable C# libraries. Knowledge of concurrency patterns in C#.
Familiar with the .NET framework.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
Familiar with various design and architectural patterns.
Familiarity with MS SQL Server
Familiarity with Windows Presentation Framework.
Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.
Basic understanding of Common Language Runtime (CLR), its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds.
Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
Familiarity with continuous integration with Team Foundation Server.
Ability to perform analysis and resolution of software related issues
May perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree and 3 – 5 years C# development and hands on experience in web technologies, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have a working knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts, basic data structures, basic language constructs, keywords, compilation, core API.
Ability to work within a team environment.
Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate (oral, written, and active listening) to all levels of the business.
Current Security preferred.
US Citizenship is required and must be able to pass a background investigation in order to gain access to the client site and computer systems.
Additional Skills (desirable, but not required):
Web services design and development in .Net environment. Prefer Web API.
Strong customer service skills and demonstrated the ability to build professional relationships.
Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills – able to work alone or with a team.
Capable of dealing effectively with change.
Well organized and highly motivated individual who can work in a fast paced environment with all levels of clientele
