Our Client is looking for an Applications Developer.
This position is responsible for design, development and testing of object-oriented and service-oriented software applications. Also responsible for maintaining existing software and hardware, including application enhancements, troubleshooting errors and any other application related issues that arise.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test and implement business software applications
Audit system processing to track and correct software errors, hardware errors and performance issues
Participate in various scrum team roles
Provide training, documentation and on-going support for IT Helpdesk
Responsible for maintenance and support of current / legacy applications
Other duties and projects as assigned
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
4 - 6 years of professional software development experience using C#
4 years professional experience using .Net framework
Experience in the Insurance industry and financial services desired
Skilled in developing n-tier .NET applications in a service oriented architecture
Thorough understanding of object oriented programming including design patterns
Expertise with object relational mapping systems including NHibernate and Entity Framework
Solid understanding of relational database design, normalization models, and advanced understanding of SQL
Experience designing service oriented software components that leverage Windows Communication Foundation and various middleware services
Experice developing custom solutions in Microsoft SharePoint 2010
Experience working in agile team environments using scrum and Team Foundation Server
