Responsibilities would include: Design o Work with a technical lead to design solutions o Work with a business analyst to develop requirements o Learn best practices on maintainability, supportability, and operability of the solutions being designed o Work with a technical lead to learn good software development practices Develop o Take direction from a project manager/tech lead on development work streams o Learn best practices on maintainability, supportability, and operability of the solutions being developed o Practice good software development practices Do o Integrate, maintain, and enhance vendor applications o Work with a tech lead to design new applications, components, and interfaces o Maintain code base: fix bugs, re-factor, improve patterns, reduce duplication, and extend functionality o Write automated tests o Develop expertise in: .NET, SQL Server, third party applications Core Criteria 1. Technical/Architectural Skill a. 5 years professional experience developing software b. Technical experience with .NET: C#, ASP.NET c. Knowledge of modern development methodologies and practices d. Understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD) e. Familiar with standard software development toolsets, source code control (branching & tagging, etc.) f. Financial Services experience required g. Has the ability to work with the business to identify business problems and work with a tech lead to design excellent solutions h. Experience working with 3rd party vendor products and understands the challenges in integrating these packages into in-house systems/flows Job holder must have extensive knowledge of company's total computing environment, including all key IT functions, interdependencies and business impact of future IT plans. S/he must have prior lead experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and prior consulting experience with structured methodologies. Extensive experience with developing and supporting distributed applications required. Analyze, design, coordinate and supervise the development of software systems to form a basis for the solution of information processing problems. Writes, edits, and debugs new computer programs for assigned projects, including necessary records and desired output. Analyze system specifications and translate system requirements to task specifications for junior programmers. Job holder must have broad experience with multi-platform development tools and toolkits. 7-10 years of relevant work experience is required. VERY Strong SQL, specifically MS SQL Server skills needed
