Entry Level Test Engineer

Collaborate with senior team members in defining test system architecture and the development and deployment of test instrumentation and associated software used for the purposes of designing and testing state-of-the-art ultrasound transducer products. This cutting edge technology is seen by the industry as being one of the key differentiators in the Philips product portfolio and is currently changing the way that medicine is carried out.

Be a creative team player that helps to bridge the interface between the R&D and Supply Chain environment.

Your responsibilities

• Develop new cost effective test strategies through partnering with team members, Philips R&D specialists and third parties.

• Sustain and improve existing manufacturing test systems

• Create and deploy supporting infrastructure software.

• Maintain regulatory compliance according to Philips Healthcare quality system.

Your team

The ultrasound test engineering team, based in Andover, MA, consists of 11 other engineers that together with a process engineering team, develop the tools and systems that take high complex product designs from the ultrasound R&D department to the manufacturing floor. The team interacts with local, national and international teams to support a wide range of ultrasound products.

The fast paced environment places emphasis on a first time right approach, as such in-depth knowledge of product design, test solution design and regulatory compliance is expected.

Experience/Education:

· Qualifications: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Biomed Engineering.

· Work experience (co-op, intern or full time employee) with electronics and software a must.

· Experience in semiconductors or medical device or other regulated industries preferred.

Must be able to demonstrate digital and analog electronic design and software development skills. LabView programming and/or C/C# experience preferred.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.
